In Response to FITNA: Boycott Dutch Product (Freedom of Speech???)(Updated 1/4/08)

Democracy includes freedom of speech as one of the main criteria of being democratic. One should be allowed to say anything that cross his or her mind. But are we really free to do it? Are we allowed to rudely talk about religion, culture and races. Well, i guess that if things that you want to tell others(regarding issues i've mentioned) which can results discomfort or rage...just keep it to yourself. It will be much appreciated, i guess.

Making a film about some verses in Al-Quran that caused some Muslim to terrorized certain country is really insulting not only to Muslims but also to people who believes that freedom of speech must spared religion from being ridiculed. Geert Wilder surely aware that the film he produced will spark controversy. Even though he is non Muslim, i am pretty sure that he is at the same level with Muslims who had misinterpreted the word of Allah S.W.T to do damage to society, country and to the world itself. He has found his colleagues now. Geert Wilder is a terrorist using media and 'Freedom of Speech' as his weapon.

The film so called Fitna shows how shallow his understanding about Islam and Al-Quran. I agree that most of the time Muslim did do something foolish that jeopardies the image of this beautiful religion. But, is it a ticket to refer all the foolishness to The Holy Quran? It is like blaming a perfect rules which should refrain anyone from being a criminal but there is criminals. Good education which meant to make everyone educated but there are educated person but sadly foolish. Geert Wilder's brain failed to produce such logic.

The Al-Quran is a guidance for Muslims just like The Bible for Christians. The Muslims believe that it is the word of GOD(Allah S.W.T). The words which can never be argued by anyone.
The six Muslim articles of belief are: Belief in God (Allah), the one and only one worthy of all worship (tawhid).Belief in all the Prophets (Nabi) and Messengers (Rasul) sent by GodBelief in the Angels (Mala'ika).Belief in the Al-Quran sent by God.Belief in the Day of Judgment (qiyama) and in the Resurrection (life after death).Belief in Destiny (Fate) (Qada & Qadar). The 4th article is believe in Al-Quran. And you Geert Wilder had actually attacking the one of the articles of belief. Why we(Muslims) should not be angry with you?

Geert Wilder is a politician. A Dutch right-wing lawmaker. He claimed that he made the film and luckily the tv stations refused to play it. Unfortunately the internet provide him a platform to show to the world his short film. Despite receiving heavy criticism and several serious threats, the film was released and now being watched by the world. It is not easy for him to proceed with the plan of releasing the movie. There must be something behind this 'act'. As a politician, he must have aware about the consequences.

Geert Wilder will see the consequences that had been caused by he himself. 1 out of 1.3 billions of Muslims (Me) decided to boycott all dutch products in Malaysia. A Muslim may not make a difference too much. But how about 1.3 billions of Muslims around the world. You hate Islam simply because some of them terrorized your country and other country and you put the blame to the Holy Quran. Now, i can do the same by boycotting dutch product simply because you are dutch. Hmmmm..No, I will not boycott dutch product simply because you are dutch(That will make me a RACIST). I did it because I do feel that your friends who is supporting you right now will eventually ask you to apologies to all Muslims worldwide. A humble apologies will be accepted right away as a real Muslim is familiar with forgiving.

I love my religion and my country. As a citizen in a multiracial community, i believe that Freedom of Speech should spared religion and culture from being ridiculed or being used to lay hate in the heart of the people.

I am urging my self and my fellow Malaysian friends (Muslims,Buddhists,Hindus,Christians&Others) to boycott the product of Holland.

It Hurts...Seriously.

Scaling -- procedure in which a dentist or dental hygienist removes plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth by scraping it off, usually with a hand scaler and/or an ultrasonic scaler. This process helps prevent tooth decay and gum disease.

Friday 21 March- There was a speaking test for Mandarin Language I which required me to perform a 3 pages dialog and performing a song 'Xiao Wei' with my colleagues. After Friday prayer, i remembered about UiTM Dental Clinic which offers free dental services..Yup..free(Dental Faculty will provide a free service to those who brave enough to be their lab rats..i mean patients)..My friends brags about their teeth being cleaned. Proudly showed their 'Cleaned Teeth' but i don't remember about them telling me about PAIN RELATED consequences due to SCALING PROCEDURE. I do remember them showing their bloody gum soon after the procedure finished but none about PAIN mentioned.

I admit that i am traumatized by my childhood experience on dental clinics. You know, the one that came to your school and stay there for weeks to settle any dental related problems in every students in your schools. Unfriendly nurses and attendants. Each time your friend came back from their lair with green cards in their hands, you would pray so that the card wasn't belongs to you. But if your name came up, you would pretend to be brave but deep in your heart, you are afraid because the one that brings your card to your class is bitting blood soaked gauss in his/her mouth.

Hmmm..i do remember the time that i kicked a nurse who is trying to hold my feet still on 'The Chair'. 5 person holding my body to keep my head still and that unlucky nurse is just unlucky to be kicked by me. Don't blame me. The other nurse wanted to inject anesthetics on the gum and i said "TAKMAU!"(that syringe was larger than the biggest needle i ever saw that time). Wearing prefects uniforms (All White), it does not lend me enough courage to pretend to be brave that time due to the size of the syringe. The girls who were waiting for their turns giggles while watching the 'drama'. I was in Standard 5. That was the first time my tooth being pulled out for an unknown reason.(No Explanation Given)

The nightmare regarding dental related encountering experience continues when i was in UTM. A tooth has to be pulled out because it causes too much pain. The dentist was a very beautiful women(seriously) but failed to encourage me to be braver. She tried to calm me down after i freaked out when she hammered the neighboring tooth (which is healthy and does not cause any pain. She asked whether it was painful but i replied that i am not sure if that was painful or not). She prescribe some medications (antibiotics) because she could not conclude whether the neighboring tooth was healthy enough before she could perform the procedure. I was scheduled for the next 2 weeks but i did not showed up. The pain came back a month later and again, i came back to her to seek treatment. I freaked out AGAIN (in front of this beautiful dentist) and given just 3 days to finish another batch of antibiotics(more powerful than the previous one). The fourth day, i surrendered my tooth to be pulled out. Seeing the same size syringe that would channeled anesthetics in to my gum freaked me out again but i decided to close my eyes and pray so that i would not feel any pain. WRONG.. I opened my eyes because i was in pain. It was so painful but you can not scream or run from it. I had to endure it to earn the respect of this beautiful dentist. But the painful chapter does not end there. The problematic tooth broken in to 2 pieces. The smaller pieces pierced through my gum. Instead of bleeding for 6-12 hours, my gum bleed for about 36 hours. It stopped for a while around the 24th hours but it continue to bleed again during the midnight.

Here in UiTM, i sensed butterfly in my stomach. I tried to put my brave face on(pretty girls were around) but my body languages tells the truth. The guy who was with me waiting for turns asked whether i am ok or not. "Of course I am OK. Why?" "You look tensed." Thank you for telling me things that I already know.

It was painful. There was not too much deposits to be removed but it was my 1st scaling procedure. It successfully cleaned out the inner part of my teeth(I thought that i can never be removed). I can not describe how painful it was. For certain people it doesn't cause as much pain as I had encountered. Depends on how often and how effective a person can cleaned up their teeth. Owh...Depends on their DENTAL PHOBIA level also i guess.

The gum massage procedure were comfortable. I began to relax a bit while listening to the dentist lecture on how should i treat my teeth after the procedure. Gargled some water and puked saliva mixed with blood.

I walked out from the room like nothing happened. I wonder if some other patients (most concern about the girls) heard me writhing in pain while in there. The pain short lived. The joy of seeing the new look of my teeth defies all. It is my turn to brag my new cleaned teeth to others and telling them that only true man would perform the procedure.

Please go and check your teeth every 6 month. Perform anything necessary to make sure that each of them stays with you until you die. I lost one already.

Owh..don't be bothered about the pictures of infected tooth and how dental procedures performed that hanging in most of Dental Clinics. Try not to think about it or you may find yourself the way out before anything done.
